Catfish Coffee Company was born from a lifetime of early mornings on the lake, the smell of fresh coffee, and the feeling of belonging. I grew up in Port Clinton, Ohio — a place that has always been more than just home. It’s where my family fished, where my grandpa Chuck spent his days on the water, and where I learned what it meant to feel grounded, connected, and part of something bigger.

Even when I explored other places to live, the lake always called me back. Its calm, steady presence shaped who I am, and it continues to inspire everything about this business.

My love for coffee started young — long before I ever steamed my first pitcher of milk. I woke up every morning to the sound of my mom’s spoon clinking as she stirred her cup. We’d sit together before school, sharing coffee and quiet moments. That ritual rooted something deep in me: coffee wasn’t just a drink, it was a space. A place to land. A way to connect.

For years, I found comfort in coffee shops all over the U.S. They were my escape, my safe space, my creative spark. Eventually, that love turned into a craft. I became a barista at 15, and I haven’t stopped since. Creating beautiful drinks, warm atmospheres, and inviting moments has always been my passion — because I know how powerful those small moments can be.

Owning my own coffee business has been a dream of mine since I was 16, and this mobile cart is the beginning of that dream finally becoming real.

The Catfish Coffee Company brand and logo honor the people who shaped me — especially my grandpa, who spent his life fishing the very waters that raised me. The catfish symbolizes family, heritage, and home. The coffee cart symbolizes everything I’ve worked for and everything I hope to give back: warmth, joy, connection, and good vibes.
